One Piece: Shanks (ENFJ)

Functional Order: Fe/Ni/Se/Ti

Dominant Function: Fe

Shanks is a capable leader, but Leads others with kindness and warmth rather than brute force. He is friendly and charismatic and inspires Luffy in his wish to become a pirate just like him. He is also a pacifist and tries to avoid fighting when possible, also preaching this philosophy to Luffy. Shanks has a goofy sense of humor and freely expresses his feelings, unlike many other pirates, who try to appear more intimidating. When his crew or Luffy is in danger, he is willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good, resulting in him loosing one arm to a see monster.

Auxiliary Function: Ni

Shanks is sort of a mentor figure to Luffy and often talks in abstractions. He has a strong sense of symbolism, shown when he gives Luffy his hat, so that he himself will one day be a pirate, but also remember him. This wish turns out to be true in the end, showing Shanks ability to see the potential in others. Shanks is also somewhat secretive about his intentions, seeming mysterious to those, who don‘t know his true goofy self.

Tertiary Function: Se

Shanks enjoys a good drink and the small pleasures of lives, chilling on the beach of a small island rather than needing to chase his goals all the time. He has quite a physical sense of humor, jacking about his lost arm and being very lively and active. He is a skilled warrior and quite grounded in the moment, when he needs to be.

Inferior Function: Ti

Shanks is warm and emotionally expressive, and seems to dislike cold logic. He follows his hard, but can be quite analytical if the situation calls for it. He can be quite strict to Luffy at times and adheres to his philosophical code strictly, even though others call him out for it, as it makes only sense for him.
