Functional Order: Fe/Ni/Se/Ti
Dominant Function: Fe
Joy is friendly with everyone. She wants the best for Riley. She always tries to act nice. Hey, she believes Sadness is practically useless, yet she gives her a “task” to do instead of just telling her to hide! When she meets the rainbow unicorn, she wants to tell her at once that she’s a big fan. She’s very emotionally expressive.
Auxiliary Function: Ni
Joy is the leader of Riley’s emotions. She has only one goal: making Riley’s life a living heaven. She seems to believe that there’s only one way to do things and she feels very surprised when Sadness manages to comfort Bing Bong in a way she hadn’t thought of.
Tertiary Function: Se
Joy is very energetic. She never seems to get tired. She likes it when ‘people’ tell her that her dress looks nice. She can be reckless and impulsive at times and she’s not afraid of jumping into danger when going back “home”.
Inferior Function: Ti
When nothing works, Joy eventually thinks about and finds something logical to do. Her decision to trust Sadness was based upon her inferior Ti – and it worked!
