Stranger Things: Will Byers (INFP)

Functional Order: Fi/Ne/Si/Te



Dominant Function: Fi


Will is described by his mother Joyce as being different. He is highly sensitive and easily notices subtle changes in the feelings of himself of those around him. He is also romantic and internally emotional, but rarely shows or communicates these feelings verbally with others. Instead he uses means like art or fantasy to symbolize his feelings.

Auxilliary Function: Ne


Will is noted to have been a greta student and quick witted before his disappearanc, show8ng interest in science fiction and fantasy. He would often get lost in his imaginary worlds and role plays rather than just living life as it is. He also has visions of future events and a strong intuition ü, which he relies on Theo survive.

Tertiary Function: Si

Will is struggling with accepting the changes that happened during the time he was gone. He wants to remain young forever, showing a disdain for the new interests of his friend group. He values family and traditions and likes to draw back to a familiar place to recharge his energies.

Inferior Function: Te


Will is soft spoken and gentle, but will stand up for his friends and values. He doesn‘t care what others think of him, which can cause him to be a bit blunt at times.
