Sherlock: Molly Hooper (INFP)

Dominant Function: Fi


Molly is deeply feeling and a romantic at heart, but mostly quiet about these intense emotions. She is deeply sensitive and easily hurt by Sherlock‘s at times quite rude comments, but maintains a calm and peaceful exterior most of the time. While doing her she often seems quite detached as she can get so lost in her own thoughts and feelings that she ignores the world around her. Molly is demure and shy, but very loyal to her friends and stands firm on her values.

Auxilliary Function: Ne


Molly is a bit dreamy and scatterbrained. As her job requires she has a quite theoretical disposition often speculating what could have lead to the victims that with few clear evidence. She is also prone to see the good in others, even people like Moriarty which can lead her to good and bad places alike. While mainly an emotional presence she is shown to be surprisingly intelligent and quick witted easily drawing connections and even assisting Sherlock when faking his dead.

Tertiary Function: Si


Molly is detail oriented and observant, something that is required in her job. She mainly acts out of her laboratory and isn‘t involved in much of the action happening in the series, proffering her known works environment and routines to adventure.

Inferior Function: Te


Molly can be quite blunt at times, like when her feelings a hurt and she lashes out at Sherlock or Watson. She can be quite assertive and takes charge if needed, but rather prefers to go with the flow usually.
