Functional Order:Ne/Fi/Te/Si
Dominant Function: Ne
Daisy has always dreamed about becoming a famous musician one day, and has written down endless ideas for songs the wants to play one day, but never realizes any of them before she meets Teddy and Simone and is actually reassured of her talent. She loves changing and developing her songs, completly changing the song lyrics of manny of the Six‘s songs, to create something new out of it and never being fully satisfied with a version. She always adds new ideas to her music and bring fresh wind into the Six. When Billy ask her to rewrite a part of his song that doesn‘t fit, she rather rewrites the whole song leaving only the misfit part and creates something entirely new out of it, as she came to the conclusion that the song as a whole sucked than. While this makes her highly creative and a natural artists, she also struggles with commitment, not being able to chose between her love for Billy and her career as an artist and causing much confusion int he Band as a result. Her free spirited ways, also get her in trouble with others in the suicide industry how prefer a more pragmatic approach towards art. Her Ne is also visible in her interactions with Billy. At one point they discuss what lyrics they could chose for a new song and Billy calls her out for always expressing herself in vague and fragmentary ways, while she criticizes his lack of understanding for metaphors and symbolism, which she naturally uses in her texts.
Auxiliary Function: Fi
Daisy is guided by her intense feelings, which she rarely reveal to others. She presents herself as carefree and fun, but admits to Billy that she feels broken just like him, often feeling overwhelmed by her feelings and longing for a deep personal bond with another person no matter being it love or just friendship. She is very about those close to her, like Simone and later Billy and aware of their feelings. This is also shown when she ends her relationship with Billy, as she doesn‘t want to hurt Camila and because it doesn‘t feel right to her. Daisy also has a strong sense of justice and stood up to those in the industry, who try to exploit her for their own personal gain. An artistic soul she won‘t compromise her unique vision to meet others expectations, which makes her spark some conflict in the Band and also causes her to reject Teddy‘s offer of working with her in the beginning. It also makes her such a successful musician, as she is able to unashamedly express her deepest feelings and sorrows in her songs. Her authenticity also endears her to the hippie-audience at one of her first concerts, charming others with her earnest and free spirited self expression.
Tertiary Function: Te
Daisy is very self assured and blunt about her opinions. When asked by Billy why she didn‘t wait till the fourth song to come on stage, she straight up tells him that everything before sounded the same, hurting his feelings in the process. She is also the first in the band to openly challenge Billy in his inoffiziellere position as their leader and as others comment both have a tendency to take charge of a situation and even boss others around at times. Still her Te isn‘t as developed as Billy’s which is visible when she argues with him, often resulting to emotional coercion rather than just discussing the problem at hand in an objective manner. She also dislikes being commanded by others or feeling caged, which causes her to snap out at others from time to time.
Inferior Function: Si
In times of stress Daisy clings to her past in a way that is quite unlike her usual behavior. When feeling alone and under pressure because of the success of the band, Daisy wants to go back to to her parents old home and breaks into it, when no one opens the door to her. She is also always trying to run away from her past, choosing a new name and leaving her hometown behind, to escape her sad childhood. Still she stays loyal to her interest in musics, and keeps her old notebook with her since she was a child, always taking a part of her past with her. Daisys Si is quite weak and she struggles with small details and daily routines, being a horrible cook and relying on Simone and later the other band members to take chore of the more practical chores she can‘t do herself.
