Functional Axis: Fi/Se/Ni/Te
Dominant Function: Fi
Charles is highly sensitive and in touch with his feelings. Unlike his father, who is very blunt and I sensitive at times, Charles feels everything deeply and struggles with being easily distracted by his emotions, causing his father to view him as irrational and whiny. He easily b9nds with Diana over their shared sensitivities and love for art, but he can not deny his true love Camilla, causing him to treat Diana cruel and selfishly as he only focuses on his own hurt feelings. On a more positive note he can use his Fi to bond with others, who went through a similar situation than him, like the people of Wales, which felt ignored and overlooked in their individuality just like him.
Auxilliary Function: Se
Unlike his wife Diana, Charles is more willing to adapt to the situation as it is, making the pragmatic decision to marry Diana to avoid any inconvenience for himself. He wants to enjoy his life, flirting with Camila and enjoying their love, gardening and creating a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing home for himself. He can also act extremly impuslvie at times, physically letting out his anger and not recognizing the long term effect of his actions.
Tertiary Function: Ni
Charles is very good with anticipating the symbolic value of his actions like his speech to the Welsh and has an interest in a few singular causes like the protection of the local environment or history, which fuel all his actions. He is unable to consider ever truly loving Diana as he is so singlminded in his feelings for Camilla that he can‘t consider an alternative.
Inferior Function: Te
Under stress he can be uncommonly cold and blond, especially hurting Diana, but also his mother in this process, accusing others of a lack of personality or being overly sensitive, while he himself wouldn‘t act better. He also can be surprisingly detached and rational at times, especially in the second season as he is more willing to critically reflect on his feelings.
