Dominant Function: Si
Ross is focused on reality, facts and details. He becomes easily annoyed by Phoebe‘s supernatural superstitions and is generally the more geounded of his friends. He tends to seek security and a predictable life, believing things to go the traditional way. He is meticulous about collecting informations about topics that interest him and has a great detail knowledge about many scientific fields.
Auxilliary Function: Te
Ross is rude and direct with others, getting straight to the point rather than considering the others emotions. He is organized and seen as the good child by his parents, being seemingly ambitious, focused and collected with most things he does. When arguing with others he bases most of his arguments of external sources, knowing all the facts and having little patience, who don‘t seem to accept them.
Tertiary Function: Fi
Besides his calm exterior he is quite sensitive and a romantic. He is easily offended by criticism and is prone to reacting emotional to harsh demeanor by others. He has a rather innocent approach on dating woman and is normally authentic and true to himself, even to the point of appealing others. He has a strong loyalty to those close to him and deep feelings which he doesn‘t easily reveal around others.
Inferior Function: Ne
When he finds out his girlfriend is a lesbian, Ross struggles adapt to this new situation, trying to life is life as it was before. He can be easily irritated by the eccentricity of his friends and some of their strange ideas. As a Man of science he bases all of his views on tangible reality and has problems with too bizarre or unrealistic ideas. Hidden under this surface he still has a goofy side, which he mainly shows to his friends.
